A NEXT GENERATION DIGITAL INNOVATION AGENCY (based in Cape Town) WHO HAS BEEN SHAPING LEADING BRANDS IN THE DIGITAL ECONOMY SINCE 2001 is looking for a PRODUCT OWNER (Mid – Senior Level)

You will be responsible for the product’s success by creating, ordering and validating the list of work to be performed.

KEY SKILLS:
-Strong technical communication skills – being able to share the product vision and exert technical influence
-Strong client-facing skills
-Understanding user/customer needs and business goals
-Experience facilitating priorities between business and technical resources
-Understanding the big picture – the philosophical as well as practical aspects of what is being built
-Project management skills/ experience within Business Analysis
-Knowing what will work – being able to empathize with customers, clients, internal teams and stakeholders, their needs, their frustrations, and their wishes
-Passionate about user experience
-Passionate about innovation and development of best practices

EDUCATION AND SKILLS:
-Degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/IT degree
-4+ years of experience as a Product Owner
-Preferably agency/dev house experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Owning the product on behalf of the company
-Acting as the liaison between stakeholders and the development team
-Build and maintain a relationship with the Stakeholders
-Developing product requirements with input from the team and other stakeholders, develop a consistent vision and requirements for new product features
-Translate client needs into technical requirements for a product
-Build a product roadmap of incremental improvements and iterative development
-Engage with current and future customers to understand their needs and challenges
-Work very closely with the development team in defining and growing the product, solving problems, and closely managing the scope
-Evaluation of the development progress at the end of every sprint to ensure delivery of defined use cases that meet the business expectations
-Guiding the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum best practices and values
-Providing an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goal
