Financial Analyst Developer - Cape Town

We need a Junior & Senior Financial Analyst Developer for our Claremont, Cape Town office.

The roles will be expected to:
-Analyse and solve business problems with software
-Drive sales and up-sell opportunities with each client interaction
-Learn and push financial and software knowledge of both team and self
-Extend and maintain existing software solutions
-Analyse and create project specification documents as required conduct new feature analysis and drive the development of the core product.
– Work with clients to identify their data and automaton goals
-Generate and chase leads for new business
-Train/support/coach junior members of the team (Senior role)
-Communicate with directors and clients (Senior role)

Required Experience:
*Junior role – 0 – 2 years experience
*Senior role – 4+ years experience
*Solving financial business problems using technology
*Exposure to financial calculations and data analysis
*Experience in any of the following –
-Pricing, structuring, analysing or trading financial and investment products
-Financial risk management from the perspective of a financial institution
-Data and/or quantitative analysis in a finance-related context

Required Qualification
* Undergraduate degree in any of these :
– Finance, Actuarial Science, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems or Computer Science
– Honours preferred
– Recognised financial qualification if the degree was not finance-related.

Software Development Skills
-Experience working in an object-oriented or functional programming environment
-Experience working with C# highly advantageous
-Design pattern knowledge highly advantageous
-Experience in writing financial calculations, models or algorithms

You will report to the CEO and work with the rest of the leadership team and act as both a technology and business expert, making both technical and commercially sound decisions that will positively impact the company’s current and future technical delivery and operations.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
